Meeting Abstract
SITELLE, an imaging Fourier transform spectrometer with a field of view of 11 x 11 arcminutes (0.32'' pixels), is coming soon
(summer 2013) to the CFHT. The aim of this meeting is twofold: to present the scientific capabilities of SITELLE, and to
discuss the best ways to maximize the scientific output of this instrument in different research fields.
Ample time will be allocated for discussions. More information about SITELLE and imaging fourier transform spectroscopy can be found
in the Documents and publications section of this website.
A tentative program of the meeting is presented below and will be updated on a regular basis.
An introduction to Imaging Fourier transform spectroscopy |
Current status of SITELLE: the instrument and its detectors |
Data reduction, calibration and analysis |
CFHT planning (commissioning, queue observing, shared risk observations) |
SITELLE and the other IFUs |
Science with SITELLE I - : ISM in the Milky Way |
Science with SITELLE II - : Nearby galaxies |
Science with SITELLE III - : Galaxy groups & interstellar gas |
Science with SITELLE IV - : Cosmology |
