Abstract

Collaborating with Amateurs for the ProAm 2013 Wolf-Rayet Campaign

Emily Aldoretta (Universite de Montreal)

In the astronomical community, there are projects that requre continuous observational coverage of specific targets. Although most faint objects are not detectable in small telescopes, astronomers that study massive stars can use these telescopes to their advantage. During the summer of 2013, the massive star group at the Universite de Montreal collaborated with amateur astronomers around the world to study three Wolf-Rayet stars. The process of this collaboration, along with some of the results, will be discussed.
